Pulled the trigger on a Large Egg + Nest + Conveggtor for $820 incl tax and shipping to our new home.

That's a good price. Plus, it will come pre-seasoned!!

BGE's are tough to beat! I use the cast iron grill for steaks, pork butts, etc. I bought some long bolts, nuts, and washers, and made a raised grill using the steel grill that comes with the Egg. I like to use the raised grill for burgers. A Thermapen, and a good wifi enabled temp controller are nice accessories to have.

Looks awesome.
Only foreseeable problem would be taking the ashes out of the bottom. Usually I'd use an ash tool and put an empty box under the bottom opening. How are you going to clean it ?

I had a similar setup—I put a dustpan under the egg at the bottom vent and just used a hand broom to sweep through the vent into the dust pan. Very easy
Though I had the 3 “feet” under my egg...don’t see those in his setup

Alternatively you can suck the ash out with a shop vac

I have a mini shop vac that I use too. Doing ribs on the Primo XL today. I looked at tables but none had the storage I wanted, so I made my own. I have bins on the bottom shelf for lump charcoal and smoking woods, and room on the main shelf for accessories.

Thanks! The ribs are double wrapped in HD foil and resting in the cooler for an hour or so until we’re ready for dinner.

Try to check out one of the eggfests so you can try out the results and see if it's suitable for you.

I used to have one, and honestly, found it to be too much work. Turning the gas knob and pushing the button won out in the end.

Looks great!

IMO this is the only advantage to having a primo over the BGE—the ability to smoke large racks of ribs without bending them to fit!

Don't currently own one... but am definitely in the market. I'll probably pick up a Small Green Egg to compliment our Weber Genesis soon ;>
