Share your 15500 (and 15400) on rubber straps

As I await the delivery of my first AP, a black 15500, the more I think about how blingy and a scratch magnet the bracelet is the more I believe I will wear it on a rubber strap. I have also been wearing my Kermit on a rubber b strap and recently tried an AP Diver on rubber for the first time and really enjoyed. I haven't seen many 15500 or 400s on a rubber strap. Share a pic if you do!

Just wait until you get it! The bracelet is a fantastic piece of design and engineering and a major part of the watch. I love AP rubber straps but think in this instance it would be a pity to put it on rubber.

Swapping out the bracelet for a good rubber strap on your Sub or RO for a change up, or for certain circumstances*, can be fun or can make sense, but if you are permanently avoiding wearing them on bracelets for fear of scratches, that’s a shame. You are missing out on a great deal of the appeal (and great engineering) of those watches.

*When I had a Rolex BLNR, I did put it on an Everest rubber strap when I was caravanning in NZ for a month. I wore the watch 24/7 and liked not only avoiding dings and scratches on the PCLs in tight quarters and on tourist adventures, but also the understated look on rubber. But, if I had to do it over again, I’d just wear a different watch.

Thank you for your suggestions. Didn't mean to indicate I wouldn't be wearing the bracelet at all but for my lifestyle I think the rubber wil make the RO more wearable.

Great, can I use my deployant clasp with the rubber or do I have to get a pin.

Thanks for the compliment!

I live in Singapore, so the combo deals with perpetual heat and humidity perfectly!

Had to switch from deployant to tang for better comfort though.

Was it easy to change from the bracelet to the strap or did you have to rearrange something respectively buy something additional?

Is that the RubberB strap? Looks great, if only they would fit a pin buckle instead of that silly velcro piece...

The Velcro is ridiculous. I have no idea why they offer it.

A few reasons:

1. RM came out with Velcro straps so it’s now officially cool :)
2. If you have a gold piece and want to try it on rubber but don’t want to source a gold buckle/clasp
3. Velcro has infinite adjustability so you can get perfect fit

That said I don’t know why RubberB doesn’t have an AP strap with steel tang buckle like they have for Rolex. That should look great on a steel AP.

I bought a Velcro for my sub and hate it. I was right in the middle of the fit chart so it should have been perfect, it’s not. Too bulky as well
