Caribe Hilton. Home of the pina coloda.

Hit up old San Juan. Lots of good restaurants and shops.

Ritz Carlton is great. Oceana is a pretty good restaurant with a really great setting.

My family (wife, 2 pre-teen boys) stayed at the Condado Vanderbilt a couple of years ago and everyone loved it. Very nice hotel, right next to a lifeguard patrolled beach and within walking distance of many restaurants. Best of all, it’s only a short walk to Kabanas, where I had some of the best tacos in my entire life.

I’ve also stayed at the Sheraton in Old San Juan. Very picturesque area and if you can handle some slight hills, it’s great for walking and exploring. I have discovered some great dining spots by asking locals for their recommendations.
