Icon4 Adjusting bracelet link for MAX comfort

been meaning to start this thread for a while now
better late than never, i suppose

if it helps u, great! but YMMV
FYI, i have a round wrist. Flat wrist may differ.

i used to adjust my Rolex bracelet to have same length on 12 & 6 o'clock side, when the clasp is closed.
(how many link is not so important)
That's what i thought would give me the most balanced wear. hahaha

But i often found the watch head flipping towards the 12 o'clock side

So, finally, I tried shortening the 6 o'clock side and lengthening the 12 side little bit... and it wore so much more comfortable.

The watch stays in place on top, and the clasp stays centered at bottom of my wrist.
i can even wear my watch little looser, and it still stays in place

i made same adjustment to my kermit, so its not just for bigger watches like sd43

Try it, if u find ur watch uncomfortable, or unbalanced, or if its moving around too much.

My wrist is about 7.25"
For SD43:
4 links on 6 o'clock side
5.5 links on 12 0'clock side

That seems to be the way it works best to center things up. Mine all seem to be 6 on the12 side and 5 on the 6 side

Yup same for all my watches. 4 links on the 6, 5 or 6 links on the 12. Also wore mine with 5 links on each side for a year before I found out I was doing it wrong.

Very informative thread, I hope others out there who didn’t know this sees it.

Great info! I did not know that rounded wrists prefer this configuration. Most of my watches have more links at 12, except 2. My AP has equal links and seem to move a bit towards 12 so I’ll try adding a link biased to the 12. Thanks

haha
u guys who already figured out that one side should be shorter are smarter than me. took me years to figure it out

the link count is not as important imo
main point is that 6 0'clock side should be shorter.
how much shorter depends on ur wrist

in pic below, the right three are prob less comfy than the one on the left
(borrowed someone's pic)

Good stuff
I am about to size my new watch
I had heard to center the clasp, but didn’t hear any link numbers. Thanks
