Anything that is "iced" out. Can't stand seeing a nice Rolex full of diamonds all over it.

My thoughts exactly.

I'd likely say the Airking. There may be references (YMII) or aspects of references (Milgauss lightning bolt) I dislike more, but what makes the AK stand out to me is that it has so much squandered potential. The dial is an absolute mess. The lume is a joke. A few tweaks here and there, you could have something with serious "cool" factor. It is a shame.

The YM2 does nothing for me. So it doesn't figure in the thought process at all.

Haha. I think you won’t have to worry about the lugs much longer.

The only ones I would wear are the black steel submariner and explorer. No appeal from any others whatsoever. I guess we’re all different ...

Air King - dial is a mess but I wouldn't be surprised if 100 years from now it's some crazy collectible
SDDS - I love the way it looks, but it's like having a hockey puck strapped to your wrist
Milgauss - Meh
Yatch-Master II - Possibly the ugliest watch Rolex has ever made. Design, fonts, everything about it is a mess.
Pearlmaster - Bracelet looks aftermarket

+1
I sat next to a man on an airplane who was wearing one. He told me he would rather have my 116610LN, but his girlfriend bought him the YMII.

The YM2 was at the top of my list, until I handled one at my AD.
Now I want one.

The 116680 YM II is unique in every aspect...........
And ahead of it's time..
People that own one do admire and appreciate this watch after the purchase more and more.

The YM II is a exclusive watch; standing out of the row.......not a thirteen in a dozen Rolex model as all other common sleep-inducing Submariners, Daytona's, BLRO's etc.......oh yes, it is pretty safe to conform to the mass......
Is the (for the moment) strong undervalued 116680 Yacht Master II a next collectable Rolex?
The SS YM II has a unique caliber, exclusively made for this watch.
There is no other manufacturer producing a comparable caliber.
Because of it's existing appearance and the high price it is sold only in minor quantities, which is a solid base for becoming a much sought after model in the future.
Furthermore the 116680 YM II is an extraordinary and exclusive type of Rolex because of its exclusive style elements within the existing Rolex program.
For the moment these style elements of the 116680 YM II are commonly unloved and the watch is ignored by the existing type of "common/standard" Rolex owner which feel safe with a focus on Daytona's, BLR'S, Deepsea's etc, mainly because of the existing market trend.
Once imo the YM II will be considered as an absolute exclusive item between the Rolex models because in an early stage it had the styling elements that in the next future will be searched after.
Generally in the future Rolex will show more diversity in color and appearance and more watches will show some kind of model name on the bezel.
Besides the new Rolex watches will show both distinguished and characteristic model accents; this will be required by the market commonly soon.
If you buy one, new or 2nd hand, go for the discontinued "Blue Hands" version, which was the 1st version and sold only a couple of years in very limited quantities.

The Air King.........
imho it is a matter of time when more people will become aware of the unique price position of the 40 mm Air King 116900 beyond the Explorer I and the Milgauss.....it's "technical" and exclusive dial; the new kind of color arrangement on the dial and its overall beautiful appearance.......accelerating if at Basel 2020/2021 this Air King model would be discontinued......who knows?

Appreciate and love most modern Rolex watches but i’d be hard pressed if I spent any money on the following.

YMI
YMII
Air King
OP
Also not a huge fan of the Day Date 40. Tried one on last week and felt underwhelmed. Ducking for cover Lol

My father has a pretty impressive Rolex collection and he claims the AirKing is the most comfortable of all.

I actually like that Air-King.

The only modern Rolex I really dislike is the Yacht-Master II. It looks like an Invicta with that hideous huge bezel font and messy dial.

Technically it's a great watch though.

Besides the 16613 classic "Bluesy", two-tones generally aren't my cup of tea, either. I don't like the TT YM very much.

For me its the BLNR....Cant see what everyone sees in this one....They slapped some blue on the black bezel (which when it came out, thats all Rolex could do at that time, bleading color problems..)

I find the BLNR so drab but i wish i could love it cause its the only one ive never owned....cant bring myself to do it..

To each his own.....

I think a lot more of us would be willing to embrace YMII if the bezel didn't say "YACHT-MASTER II" on the bottom third of the bezel. That's the real deal killer for me. If it weren't for that, I think you'd have more people here promoting the watch as a niche piece with a very different complication.

Not trying to generalize here either -- I know both of these references a have a lot of fans on TRF and elsewhere.
Agree with the huge YM2 spelled out in the bezel. My nephew has one though and I must say he wears it well.
