Yachtmaster Vs Sky Dweller

Does anyone have both? Which one do you find more dressier / wear on more special occasions.

I’m having second thoughts on a Sky Dweller as a dress watch!

I have a black Sky-Dweller and my GF has a Yacht Master ref. 268621 Choco dial. 37mm.
Both dressy in their own way, but due to the sports heritage of the YM, I would say that the SD is more dressy.

Depends on what you want. They’re both beautiful for different reasons. The ym ii is nicer for vacations or work. The sky dweller , especially in two tone is nicer for weddings. Then again, they’re both versatile. Can’t go wrong with either. If immediate resale is a factor, I’d avoid two tone.

Skydweller seems dressier, but the YM works for todays "dressy". IMO, a fluted bezel or jubilee bracelet give watches a dressier look, but I enjoy wearing my YM over the SD (though I usually just wear the daytona over both).

The yachtmaster 2 wears huge on a wrist. That said, in stainless, I’d choose the YMII over the skydweller two tone. And I wear a two tone blue sub all the time.

Sky Dweller is more of a wedding wear watch imo

Depends on your collection. Is the Skydweller a daily or a 1 watch option, probably not. Is the YM, yes. The SD has more functions but is bigger and more dressy. I couldnt imagine banging around a SD, not a good idea lol.

I can understand why some people would say SD over the YM, it is a very desirable and cool watch.

They are two different watches.

Sky dweller for sure speak classy, conservative while the yatchmaster gives you edgy, party look. Depends on the occasion because they are both great choices.

Sky Dweller can look very classy but the sea dweller is an everyday watch in my opinion.

YM is not for me. Dial is too busy. Less is more.
