And: I am one of the many who are hoping to get a call for the Batman, in which case I'd have the same three you spoke of in the video. The jubilee on the DJ is eye-catching in the extreme, just great to look at, and on the GMT it must be no less astonishing.

GMT is a true travel watch and I'd say it has its place if you indeed travel (especially on business). I see a solid role for all three, without question, and my phone will ring soon. In the meantime, the two I have are worthy of the highest gratitude and enjoyment.

Thank you BlueHeron ... yes, it would be a nice trio of Rolexes. I still have not received my DJ41 yet (ordered 13 weeks ago) so I have not made a decision whether to keep all or do my original plan of two. I won’t make a hasty decision and will give time with ea h to really evaluate.

Congrats on your sweet collection and I hope you get your new BLNR soon —- it is a wonderful piece.

I prefer the no-date; however, if this were a only watch I might pick the date version.

To the credit of fellow board members, folks at TRF can generally be classified as WIS or enthusiasts beyond the normal Rolex owner. So, based on self-selection and being part of this community, I take it the Submariner will be and has been the TRF favorite as a direct descendent of the original Submariner from the 1950s.

As someone who has owned both the Submariner and Submariner Date, I prefer the Submariner Date (because I also use the date function all the time). In support of the Submariner Date, there’s a reason the 50th Anniversary 16610LV (“Kermit”) was a Submariner Date, as is why the Two-Tone and PM variants of the Submariner line are only available as the Submariner Date.

This is because the Submariner Date is more prolific and the non-WIS “People’s Favorite”, in my humble opinion (that many, but not most, WIS here also prefer).

I would buy the no date reference. I like the fact that there is an option of either. I wish my 126600 was minus the cyclops or was available in no date.

I am confused. Your signature indicates you have a the SubC Date?

Personally I don't understand what I would need a device on my wrist to tell me the date, I've already got a cell phone for that!

:)

Buy the one _you_ like, there is no wrong answer.

My cell phone only tells the time, I wish my phone had a date function/complication ;)

Haha

I would get the no date without a doubt, is one of the purest, simplest Rolex and at the same time beautiful balance and symmetry. My two cent pal
