Incoming & GMT Collection

Just back from vacation and my AD allowed me first shot at a fairly large delivery. Very fun to be a part of "unboxing" and "inventorying".

What's that extra hand for?

That meteorite, if there is one Rolex to be considered a grail, here it is.

Love the meteorite dial, congrats!!! What else was in the 'large' delivery (curious to know)?

Done for the year except...

Waiting on a white face steel Daytona. Was not impressed post Basel with the pictures but love this years class in person.

Thank you. Will do the best I can. Regrettably no photos as would not have been appropriate so sorry or disregard.

Black face Daytona, OF WG Daytona, Batman on Jubilee, Platona, YG Black Face and SS sub, TT and Steel SD, TT Rootbeer and Olive WG DD are what stood out. All regrettably "spoken for" except YG sub.

They also had an Everose Daytona for $103K all blinked out in red, white and blue gems. Can't find it on Rolex website. Ironic that wasn't a customer order.

My sense is as reported by others ADs put in for some watches on order as "pre sold" and others for inventory. They really dont know what's coming as evidenced by the surprised expressions as they opened it. Apparently Rolex rep had told them they and their customers would be happy.

Lots of fun. I brought each of the owners a nice bottle as a thank you.

One of my absolute favorites! Congrats!

What else did you see in the shipment? Can we assume the AD is Tourneau of Bryant Park?

Once again thanks!

Absolutely not! Place is trash. I work near by and they repeatedly much to my amusement lecture me about the total impossibly of getting watches I own. They don't even look at my wrist. I even had a sales associate there tell me my YG Green face Daytona was a fake because the green "wasn't right". I of course agreed and told her "great catch bought it on Canal street". In fact I had been handed it directly from the Rolex regional sales rep at a Daytona event in Conn.

In terms of what was in the delivery please see prior post.

Sorry not going to share AD.

Thanks for sharing. It is my new favorite. One day I hope to get one for the collection. I saw a DJ at the local AD with meteorite dial under the lights and it was mesmerizing.

Gorgeous, congrats!

I have to wonder if it's Rolex's way of throwing back to the original white-dial Pan Am GMT Master...? Either way, lovely piece.

Oh wow, what a great shipment for the AD and ultimately great day for those clients receiving the calls for pick-up!

Thanks for sharing and again great collection!

Are you serious? That's one of the most absurd things I've read recently among the countless horror stories of customer experiences in Tourneau stores.

Huge congrats on the meteorite GMT. If I was in the market for a PM professional piece right now, that would definitely be on the top of my list. Rolex's meteorite dials really need to be seen in-person to fully appreciate the intricacy and "layers" of the dial and how they play with the light that reflects off them. I recently got to handle the WG DD with meteorite dial and diamond hour markers at my AD (from Basel 2018 releases). Could easily waste a lot of time looking at that dial at all different angles.

Enjoy your newest addition to a fantastic GMT collection. Hope you enjoy it in the best of health! Given your work location, I would have gone straight to Parker & Quinn after for a lobster roll lunch celebration!

My favorite is the Fench Dip sandwich as an indulgent splurge. Great place and thanks!

In terms of Tourneau story pretty close to verbatim. It was "never seen that color before" with a tone of scepticism. Me "I bought it on Canal street" to an expressionless "ohhhh".

Wow! I usually never get too excited with "incoming" posts, but this one did not disappoint! I hope to see one in person one day.

Regarding your Tourneau story... It blows my mind how some people can be so bitter and ugly. Even if they genuinely thought it was fake, why would you say that? Whatever, I have no time in my life for people like that.

Bryant Park,

After acquiring the your two white gold gmt pepsi’s, any desire to own the white gold blue-dialed version gmt (126719)?

I do like the look but find it redundant to the black. Wasn't willing to spend money to own it stand alone or on trade. The meteorite however seemed unique within my collection. I have some blue in the collection to scratch that itch.

Congrats! That thing is gorgeous. I bet you could wear a different watch each day of the month with your Rolex collection alone! May you have many more to come and wear each and every one in good health.
