Hi, New Mbr with new watch.
Hi all, ive been visiting this fine forum for a while now and it really is a friendly place to be. Ive alway's liked the rolex watches but have just never seen myself paying the money required for one. Ive been through the replica daytona faze which meant i couldnt even go out with it in the rain as it would just fog up straight away, followed by a watch from the Invicta range which although is a lovely watch in it's own right, is was just never what i really wanted. After constantly looking through the AD's window, it was time to go and do what i should have done all along! Me and the wife went into the city centre the other week and went in the AD to have a proper close up look at the watch i have alway's liked. Loved it straight away, but still kept the dealer on tender hook's as told them i needed to go and take a walk and have a coffee before i commited to it!! Half an hour later, im back in there doing the paperwork. My choice?, a lovely spanking new Submariner LV.
Felt a bit odd at first knowing that id paid alot of money for such a small item albeit on the 0% even though my family were very supportive, guess it just goes against the grain to know my watch cost more than my car! Anyway, i have to say i am chuffed to bit's with my LV, in hindesight, it will loose less money than my car and proberbly be more reliable. Three week's in and it is everything i had hoped owning a top notch watch would be, it's sporty but elegant, super accurate against the online atomic clock and just oozes quality from every pore. Thank's to all the information i have gleened from this teffific forum, i think ive made an great choice. Many thank's Dave. |

Welcome Dave.
I do love the LV. I was on holiday in Crete 2 years ago and spotted one from the pool bar from 50 yards.

Your watch is a stunner. A Sub is next on my wish list! I posted my first post in the Picture Gallery forum with a pic of my watches. Obviously didn't look in the right place! When I bought my Explorer 11 I told my dearest that it was a fake. 6 months later I came clean. I bought pre owned from a vg dealer in '07 and I reckon it has gone up in value since then. So I think we've both made good investments.
Cheers Dave |
