One more new guy...with a question
Hello all, new guy here. Not new to watches, been collecting for a 2 years now, but I am new to Rolexes. My name is James and I live in a suburb of Los Angeles (Redondo Beach, for those of you who know the area).
I have my sights set on on buying a 14060M, ideally a z series, but I am not too picky. Now for my first official question on the rolex forum. Why would you get a mint condition used watch instead of one with a little bit of love? Or vise versa? I have noticed as much as a $800 dollar difference between two watches that are not that different. So what do you prefer for you rolexes and why? Thanks! -james |

Hello and welcome aboard....
There is nothing wrong with buying a gently used ND sub, though I would avoid a well used or abused watch. As long as routine maintenance was performed there is nothing to worry about. Rolex's were built to last a lifetime. |

A Z series 14060m at around the early £2k ($3k) is the finest Rolex purchase you can make IMO.
Nice and new, service a few years away and the classic look of yesteryear.

Welcome to TRF!
Pre-loved from a trusted seller is the way to go! That said, I would understand how some people value knowing that their wrist is the only wrist their watch has ever known. Then there are those that love peeling plastic off watches There is no right or wrong way to Rolex ownership. |

Thanks all for the warm welcome. I am keeping my eye on the trusted sellers and the 14060M's that pop up on the sales forums.
