WG Daytona Grey vs. Black Dial?

Does anyone have side by side comparison pics?

I used to think the wg black dial was my favorite of all the Daytona dials until I saw a picture of the grey one. I’ve seen the black dial in person many times but never the grey.

I will be getting my hands on a SS Daytona soon and thought about swapping in one of these dials.

Gray all the way! The black is great too but the wg gray is my favorite Daytona dial. The gray/red contrast looks brilliant IMO. Not to mention, it's alot more unique than a black dialed Daytona,, or watch for that matter :)

Post pics when you get whatever you decide please!!!

The WG black dial is...

not really black, it's kind of a charcoal gray. definitely different...

I love that dial. I wonder if anyone has taken the red hands and put them on the black SS model?

I cannot speak intelligently about either because I never owned a white gold Daytona, but I did have the privilege to have a WG grey dial installed on my ss Daytona for a while.

Very elegant combo, but at the end it didn't sing to me as I find (all) the Daytona to busy and hard to read.

Another observation, the arabic numerals make the dials very sporty, less elegant IMO, which can be both a good or bad things depending on how you look at it.

Best of luck! You can't go wrong really!

The grey with red hands look great! You get less of a 'mass assembly line' feel with it. White and Black dials are too common imo.

The one in the middle made it to my first grail list. The red accents with the charcoal dial (gives off a blueish grey when light hits it at the right angle). However, the slated grey dial with arabic lum dial which is the watch to the right of the pic, to me, is the one to obtain and is on my current grail list. That dial just pops and is now more available in 2012 in that combination then in prior years....at least from what I have seen at ADs here in Houston. The contrast on that dial is right on and the color is understated sport luxury at its best IMO.

WG Daytona slate Grey Arabic Dial

Having seen the Grey it has to be a no brainer, It's awsome! its ashame they dont do it on SS which would be well under half the price but the red needles do finish it off on WG

I really want to like this combination because I love this dial and hand combination and steel is all sorts of superior to WG for normal wear and tear but it just does not work.

If you could somehow get a WG bezel though.....
