Seller beware

Watch out for people buying goods, claiming they do not like it, and returning fakes.

Sold an insert to a European buyer. He received it, claimed he didn't like it. Pulled the good old switch-a-roo and returned a fake insert. While 99% of my overseas deals do go smooth, a few did go sour...

Sometimes, due diligence is not enough.

Members? Are you going to elaborate, or are these random people contacting you in in other ways?

I am always scared of this with my listings on eBay. I've heard to many horror stories, and eBay sides with the buyer.

Random people with no nexus to this forum. Just want to let 'our people' know about this practice.

Letting the forum members know who he is might prevent him from doing it again.

correct. Ebay's buyer's protection always favors the buyers. Unless the person admits wrong doing in email or messages.

I had a buyer claimed that I shipped him a damaged phone two weeks after delivery. Ebay favors him and refund him the money and asked him to ship the phone back to me. The scumbag buyer ended up shipping an empty box back to me, which was good so I can file a seller protection with Ebay. Ebay eat the loss and gave my money back. But that's an one time deal.
