Is the consensus that there will be no cool men’s releases this year? Just waiting for 150th?

I'm curious to see the 43mm time-only ROO mentioned earlier. Could be a very nice daily.

I’m hoping AP is anticipating that people may hold out for next year and plan to release some decent offerings. I wouldn’t mind more Code options, as well as more ROOs that we held our breaths for last year.
We shall see.

hopefully should be seeing a few more variants of the 38 code and 37 offshore this year…excited to see how those come out

be sure to buy a piece this year to ensure you have a chance at that 150th rotor piece next year 🥲

Fair point, when I look back at that time and the 50th piece I have, I think there was quite a bit of unnecessary drama and angst over basically just a different rotor. It’s a nice, but subtle feature, but then all the same models and dials continued to be released albeit with a regular (but also nice) rotor. So for the 150th, if anything, perhaps they consider something more special than a rotor switch.

Noticed last night all the usual suspects of the watch press have descended on Milan being hosted by AP so we may see what’s released today

Hope they bring back the Millenary. IMO a modern version of that has a lot of potential.

Is this a usual time of the year when AP releases new pieces?

Last few years have been earlier than this, last year was 1st Feb if I recall - Andrew of Time & Tide posted a story on his insta covering his wrist saying embargo lifts today. Seems to be focused on one watch (only a hunch) so hoping it's the new openworked

Hoping they didn't just fly people to Milan for the new AP House - I want to see some new watch(es).

I think you will have to wait a couple of days more.

That’s actually pretty funny. And don’t worry, Vogel has spent just as much and has his own wing too.

As I always said to guys who wear IWC in times the company every month hosted some event with Kurkova, Lima and other A list supermodels... when somebody ask about your watch you can always say that the watch pays first class flight and champagne for Adriana Lima...

And hey, it's AP forum, everybody who owns one paid for some lines on the last Travis party... and I'm not talking about rap lines...

It is funny, but sounds like Vogel isn't getting the runaround.

My 2024 AP prediction is a new Hulk Marvel 16202 with updated ceramic bezel. Or a Bad Bunny minute repeater in pink gold.

Would love to see a ghost or elephant. A 43mm ROO in Ti that would look good with a large variety of straps.

Also would be cool to get a white ceramic ROC with blue dial and silver subdials (like the QP)

White ceramic ROC would be epic!

[Re]master02?

I'd bring back a pre-serial calendar watch, with the new QP caliber.

Probably the coolest thing they can do for the 150th so might have to wait for next year.

Sorry, but what do you mean with pre-serial?

Prior to ~1950 AP didn't serialize production, basically every piece prior to this point was a piece unique with slight variations.

Prior to 1950 there was an estimated ~200 calendar watches made with only 11 of them being perpetual calendars. Them re-releasing a classic perpetual for the 150th would be so cool.
