I doubt it would be too small. I have a 7.5" wrist and wear a 36mm DJ. I also have 47mm Panerai. And a lot in between. They all work fine for me.

I have a 38mm Aqua Terra and I found it too small for my liking and I have small wrists.

Would love to see pic of it. Lol I have the 45th speedy which is suppose to be 42mm... But feels more like 40mm on the wrist. So 38 will prob feel small for u imo.

Some watches wear bigger or smaller than their actual dimensions. Also, it's a matter of personal taste as to whether a watch is too big/small on a person's wrist. The only way to be sure about the fit for you is to try one on. Pictures can be misleading.

When you mention the 42mm is "perfect" I think the 38mm won't be "perfect". The only way to know is strap one on your wrist.

FOIS is almost 40mm (39.7). That might be another other option. I like the classic Speedy as well.

38mm is a nice mid range size. I won't wear anything over 42mm. Just picked up this 36mm beauty and I'm in love with it

It all depends on the watch. I wear anything between 36 dress and 45mm divers.
This old Tissot is 36mm, but works perfectly well on my 7.5 inch wrist. Btw, it uses almost the same base Lemania movement (albeit with two subdials) as the Omega 861 that's in the 70s Speedmaster Pros - at 42mm. I also have a '69 Grand Seiko that's 36mm. Where whatever you feel comfortable with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
