By my count there are nine episodes left, three this year and six next. I love how the separate stories of all these characters are coming together towards a climax, but let's hear your prediction on who will rule the seven kingdoms. My guess? John Snow; he was chosen by the people to be their King, not handed it by birthright. Maybe symbolic of democracy(?). Anyway curious as to what people think the finale will be.

I just don't see Snow being King. I have been reading this series since the first book was out in hard cover.

I would be in absolute shock if it were not Daenyris.

After all, those dragons are going to wreck Cersi. I can't wait till that B(*th goes down.

Some storyline details to wrap up:
Daenerys Targaryen marries Jorah Mormont and renounces her claim to rule the 7 kingdoms. Not before John Snow becomes Dragon Food. Melisandre casts a spell to reattach Varys schlong so he can be strung up by it and tortured to death. Tyrion gives up wine and woman to dedicate himself to the lord of light. Sansa marries Cersei and they both make fun of Jamie until he jumps to his death from the same tower he threw Bran from and the lesbian monarchs rule for 60 more years...

We usually DVR and binge watch series. We cannot seem to make it past Sunday with this show. Great series.

We like John Snow, but Arya or Sansa would be interesting as well.

Snow was dead once, wonder if he will have some kind of magic against the white walkers/army of the dead?

Longtime reader of the books as well.

There's a new Targaryen character introduced in the books that isn't even in the HBO series that may be on the Iron Throne. He has a better claim to the throne as Dany, but we'll see what happens to him.

It could be two entirely different people in the books as it in the TV series. In fact, I'm hoping that Martin makes changes between the two, if he ever can quit all his side projects and sit down to write these d@mn books.

All I know is I'm tired of waiting for this war. My wife loves this show, I only watch in hopes the blonde lady with the dragons shows her boobs.
