I haven't watched it but from what I understand of the series 2 women, most likely sisters or cousins, will marry and produce an heir (of course a daughter, feminism etc) which will become the next heir to the throne.

Realistically, I don't want to say it but I see a Sopranos type ending here with nobody prevailing and some damn flash forward or something where it is all a dream by Bran while comatose or something of that nature. Especially without the books having been completed.

Daenerys will probably be Queen. She has finished more seasons than any other. Jon, I fear will die to save another at the climax, maybe Dani or maybe Sansa from LF.

I thought Arya was going to kill Cersei, altho that would have been unfair as she was against Ned's beheading, and now she has gone North I think it will fall to Jamie, probably to save Tyrion from her.

Jon Snow is both a Targaryen and a Stark as we learned at the end of Season 6.
I think it is fitting that he brings North and South together and becomes King.
Remember also he united the wildlings, and killed a White walker general or commander.
Also consider the resurrection theme and would be fitting in my opinion.
Jon Snow rose from the dead, became King and united all the people.
Maybe Daenerys and her Dragons die for this cause?
Symbolically I like Jon Snow sitting on the Iron Throne...

But hopefully still many more Nude scenes coming Tom...

I can't be the only one with this other laughable issue....

I just got a new 75" tv and my living room sits in the front of my home. Walking by at night you can clearly see my entire tv through the bay windows like a drive in movie. This show is damn near soft core at times and I'm always wondering how long before the neighbors are like

They stopped waiting for his finished manuscripts and are writing the shows material/scripts loosely based on discussions with Martin about the story lines, but I doubt the series is going to end the way Martin is currently writing the book. JMHO but I think a big reason the show is wrapping up in addition to the escalating production costs are the obstacles and lack of creative license associated with waiting for one aging man to finish the pages...

From what ive read on the interwebs the producers know the why/how/what to his story, incase he kicks the bucket before finishing it, which is likely.
So they know the broad overview, I think they will stick kinda to it, but anyone who has read the books knows there is a million detail and tons of characters missing.

Yeah I think we're pretty much saying the same thing, except that I see the difference as another persons interpretation of Martins thoughts through discussion vs. his written word, and you seem to be saying that the main difference is the omission of characters, sub-plots and the accompanying fine detail.

I know GRRM is quite dark and he is tempted to finish with the Night King winning out, but I think as he is nowhere near the end, and still working on the penultimate book, so at least 5 years away from completing A Dream of Spring, what an apt title!, Dan and Dave can do what they like now. While they know what's in his mind, I don't think they will make such a down ending. The TV show has now far eclipsed the books and I think D and D are diverging from him and will write a more positive ending no matter what GRRM has told them.

I wonder if John and Sansa turn out to fall for one another.

Who knows, maybe everyone dies and one character is left to the kingdoms but it doesn't matter because they are alone.

GOT + GRRM = Impossible to predict. I have enjoyed reading all the books and I love the show, but it is pretty unpredictable. Once I feel like I have it all sorted out, someone important gets murdered.

If you really want to get lost in an internet wormhole, go over to reddit and read the GOT theories. Some of those posters are wearing HUGE tinfoil hats and others make sense.

Apparently some of the fanfic has had an impact on story lines. I watch some YT channels like EmergencyAwesome, who does a good job of summarizing and predicting the future of GoT.
