New Tag Heuer Monaco Skeleton

Tag Heuer just released three new open worked / skeleton Monaco models. This black titanium case with the teal accents really grabbed my attention. What say you all? Any other Monaco fans here?

New Tag Heuer Monaco Skeleton

First one is the best one.
Tag won’t stop pissing out Monacos . They can’t seem to make square watch. Every year, they are further and further away from Monaco’s heritage. Having a 25yo CEO chasing smart watches doesn’t help either.

1133B being serviced.

Ahh yes, the new TAG TRON edition of the Monaco.

This one got my attention also. I've been burned by 2 TH Carerra before and thinks I'm never going Tag again. But I'm open to try it on and see. Won't pay retail tho. I think it's too expensive. I'll gladly wait for a used one.

Yea, I would jump on it for $7-8k(ish) but at over $11k it’ll have to wait. For me once a piece crosses the $10k threshold I really have to pause and be sure that’s where I want to park that kind of money. I know for some it’s not a significant amount but for me it’s a pretty big chunk of change.

Very well done by them! This watch is a classic, indeed. Perfect time for it to come up as well given the fact this weekend was the Monaco Grand Prix.

Coincidence or not, I'm incredibly fond of these heritage models. Anything linking to a vintage Heuer is something special and I would love to own one some day (vintage).

I do too; but currently my small collection is mostly blue dials, so I took a liking to the black PVD case a bit more. That said, if I didn’t own my current blue dial Monaco then the blue is the route I’d go as well!

I like it. Definitely unique in shape and appearance. Would I ever personally wear it? Nope

I like motorsport watches so I should like this but never saw one I’d have worn previously - the shape was always “too much”. (And I know the shape is kind of the point.)

The black on black titanium (or maybe the strap width) or something softens the impact down a lot so I’d consider this. But also agree not at that price - £9,800 in the U.K.! There’s a lot of watches I’d buy first at that price point.

Softening the square shape makes it look a bit Richard Mille-esque.
