Slate WG 5146
Hi guys, I'm hoping you can help.
Looking to purchase a Patek WG 5146 with slate dial. I am hoping that this will be a do-able daily. Some people dislike the busy dial but for me and my eyes, it really works. I am aware that PP changed from rhodium plated WG to their own proprietary Grey gold some time around 2006/2007 so am interested in one of the later models in the hope that the case will retain its luster for longer. Is there anything else I should be aware of with this model and what should I be looking to pay for a full set? I just missed out on one for £20K which I thought was a bloody good deal. The case had a few scuffs, which I dont mind, as it allows me to wear it more rather than be kept in the safe. After all, its intended purpose is as a daily. Not a big concern but also curious as to how people think this model will fair over the long term in terms of holding it value. All the best, Carl |
