Damn, thanks for bringing this one back, a service to the community. Hard to believe that the same questions were being asked at $50K that are being asked at $200K.

oh boy, now it's the brag of the century.

I was so confused reading the thread, as I didn't look at the date. My grey dealer called me today saying he found a 5712/1a for a "bargain" price of 180k.

There's one on the Hodinkee site at around $180k, w/ box, no papers.

DavidSW has a travel time 5990 at $258k.

Great little time capsule we have here.

Wasn’t that long ago that grays provided a service to skip the line with a 10% discount.

Just glad this isn’t one of the posts I agreed to eat my boots if the 5711 eclipsed and held 100k

Yep, I remember seeing 5711s lined up in their brown cardboard boxes at a dealer in Tokyo around the time of this post thinking I’d truly missed the boat. Don’t feel so bad now that I didn’t have $50k to spend at the time, so I was dreaming then and dreaming now.

I'm pinching myself daily that I got it for msrp in 2020 . The prices are getting uncomfortably high tough.

Sold a blue one for a price that makes me cry

Bought back the white at a price that made me cry. 5711 is the one watch out of many that I had wanted back in the collection.

Current prices … not crying

… every thread is better w pics.

Better than this option...maybe:

Would 50k for a 2015 5711 a reasonable price? Condition good - above average, with original box and everything, except paper, assuming it is authentic? (Chrono24 price is rather high, unrealistic, around 90 - 100k)

If you’re being offered one for 50k it’s not authentic

Agreed that’s very obviously a fake watch at todays price even without papers you could sell it in an hour for 70k.
