I think you have to keep in mind why these watches are really purchased by the broad majority of their buyers in assessing that, aside from the obviously debatable nature of „no independents“. Most people, though nobody likes to admit it, buy these watches to satisfy a sense of accomplishment and status. The demand and hence the pricing follows that much more than it follows any „substance value“.

And in that respect, a watch like a Breguet that gives you hardly any recognition isnot really underrated, nor is a watch like a Patek overrated. As for what has the most potential to become increasingly popular soon, I would say older AP complicated watches, e.g. perpetual calendars from the 80er and 90ies, as well as a lot of things Vacheron. Blancpain is getting to that age too as a Brand now where they early pieces from the Biver relaunch could come back into public interest.

Yes looking at list price versus secondhand price.

Patek is also in the list but unfortunately most are insane expensive when looking at the second hand price , but there might be exceptions.

So if you think about a brand and more precise a specific model, please share your thoughts.

I took a few big brands, not low production brands.

Real haute horlogerie ( so no IWC, JLC, Rolex, Zenith, Panerai, Cartier ...) I love these but the finishing is lower.

No independents
I'd have to first accept that list prices have any real relationship with the value of a watch (I don't). If list price vs street price is the barometer then Invicta is king of the underrated.

Initially I never understood why VC, especially the overseas models is in the holly trinity! After buying my first, I couldn’t stop! Great craftsmanship, very unique design and I love everything about it!!

Yeah, Blancpain and Breguet are the most under rated watches, the finishing of Breguet is a notch superior than Blancpain, though the latter are excellent watches with a much depreciated price on the used market.

This. Blancpain are really nicely executed watches, such as their PC with correctors under the lugs. No tools needed to set.
