With so much Snoopy talk, do any current owners have issue with...

legibility?

It seems the dark hands blend in with the sub-dials. Am I the only the one that needs to do a triple-take to read the time?

None at all. If you want to deal with legibility issues, own a Daytona.

Yes, I feel the same. It's much harder to read the time than the standard moonwatch, especially the seconds hand subdial. I don't wear it often, so maybe it takes a while to get used to.

Does anyone notice that the lume is pretty dim. Its the weakest Lume in my collection. I get that the index markers are shorted, but the hands fade out so quickly.

+1. Daytona legibility with the black dial is pretty bad…

Haven't really seen any issues with legibility on speedies. Including the 50th Apollo 13th.

I find it hard to see the running seconds sub dial, but the rest is OK.

Agreed, had for a short period the black face and sold it exactly for this issue

Yep, it’s the reason I sold mine. At times like half past five I found the hands basically disappeared. Great watch, but I couldn’t read it some of the time.

I've been getting those same thoughts but it looks damn good on the 3861 bracelet...it stays for now. The A11 50th is far more legible.

Every time I see it on a 3861 bracelet, I wonder why this isn't a factory option. Just looks so good.

You kept that quiet, if I'd known I'd have given you your money back!

No issues at all. I also don't have a problem with the Daytona and my vision isn't the best.

phrase this another way...

It is certainly the least legible of my 9 watches which includes the A11-50th. The dark hands are matte and half-the-time hovering above the equivalently-colored sub dials. Even angling the watch doesn't help. Yes I need readers, to read text. Ok, i've beaten this horse.

one final photo. Stand an arm's length away, take a quick glance. Count the milliseconds it takes to read.

Yep, my issue too. Others can say what they like and have their own opinions. For me it was unreadable at certain times without trying hard - not something I like in a watch.

The 321 has no such issues…..

I tend to agree with you, but it's not fashionable to say this is it!

I do not have issues, but I will say it’s not as amazingly readable as some may suggest.
But that’s generally if I wear it after say, my PAM so it’s all relative…
