I didn't snap a photo, but I did happen to see one in the wild at my local coffee joint just this afternoon. It was a Speedmaster Pro being worn by another customer in the shop. He was wearing it on the inside of his wrist, and it certainly had been around the block a time or two. I chatted him up a bit, and he said it was the only watch he had ever owned, and he was looking forward to passing it to his young son some day

Google "mechanic wearing a speedmaster". That should bring you to a post of a well used speedy and the story behind it. It's on another Omega forum.

My 145.022 was great the first 5 years I owned it. I took it with me to the gym, on sprints and runs, the shooting range, etc. with no issues - until it suddenly became a fragile problem magnet. Crystal dislodged once, humidity under the crystal another time, wobbly pushers, etc. Only ever worked on by Omega-certified watchmakers.

Finding a great watchmaker that works on chronographs has proven difficult, so I tend to break out the Speedy only on special occasions or an office day, and have switched to a Seamaster 300M for daily wear. (Now that watch can keep up with me!)

But it seems I am in the minority... Check out this incredible story! https://omegaforums.net/threads/how-...3/#post-788887
