Had Albanian bbq today as out with my partners family

A very nice spicy meat stew some cheese thing and lamb skewers All good

I'm in Vilnius partly to visit for the first time, secondly it's my partners hometown and thirdly I'm having laser treatment on my leg for a cancerous tumor removal here as a world renowned specialist is a friend of a friend of my partner.

The first of three treatments went well. And especially welcome was the advice that a small amount of decent dry red wine a day needs to become part of my diet going forward. Sadly copious amounts don't multiply the effect but I shall take in more just in case..
Not quite so welcome was being told that due to severe sunburning of my head I have "too many to count, way more than ten" pre cancer areas which unless treated with a special cream pretty much every day till l die and that my head must be covered when outside to prevent them turning full on in which case entire scalp would need to be removed

Well the BBQ sounds pretty good 👍..but sorry to hear about your medical issues. Hope the remaining treatments go well..and you better take heed for treatments to your head. A very vulnerable spot.
Stay well....

Mother’s Day cookout. She wanted breaded ribeye steak. I also smoked beef ribs for 8.5 hrs (I know, two beef dishes usually a no-no but she doesn’t like pork and I’ve never smoked beef ribs). Add in grilled asparagus, bell peppers and baked potatoes and it’s as if it was a Fathers Day BBQ!

Thanks Randy - it’s a work in progress. We just did our 3rd outdoor market and it was amazing! I think we elevated our displays a little and the sales reflect that.

We have two more coming up and are taking lessons learned from each event and trying to continue to elevate our display.

Thanks. It’s been a lot more fun than I expected and I’ve even learned to make the candles and wax melts - I’ve left the soaps to my wife so far. I just bought a glass bottle cutter to experiment with cutting wine bottles to make vessels for candles. We’re heading to CO wine county for another market in a few weeks and if the cutting goes well, we’ll try to wholesale candles in wine vessels to some of the wineries on the trip.

That too...sounds like a great idea..and sure it will fly with that market. Good luck on that and try not to cut yourself...

Got an early start on the holiday weekend. Had to move the smoker to the driveway since the backyard is getting a makeover.

Love the Tomahawk steaks. We’ve found out local Costco “Business” Center in Denver Carrie’s the Prime cuts. Had one last weekend.
