SMP 300M Bracelet or Strap?

I want to poll Omega SMP 300m wearers to see what they prefer and why. Bracelet or Strap. I also included in the poll for those who choose a non Omega option.

So far it seems everyone insist on a OEM strap or bracelet vs Aftermarket as do I. I also see a trend of straps over bracelets. No one has said why. Just prefer straps? Hate the bracelet? I have both. Prefer to work in straps and bracelets not at work.

OEM rubber strap. I found the bracelet clasp sharp since there isn’t much of a bevel on the edge that contacts the wrist. YMMV

I prefer the OEM strap because I think the watch looks great with the extra color the strap brings, especially the blue strap with the blue dial, and especially especially the black strap with the white dial (my favorite configuration for this model).

I bought mine on bracelet and have never loved the look. If I could do it over, rubber strap all the way.

Hate the bracelet, so strap is the only choice. There are some other OEM bracelets that look great but probably need to get aftermarket end links or something.

I concur sir! This white dial is my first SMP 300m on a strap and love it.

You need both options. Buy on bracelet and get the rubber.

I have one on Rubber and one on a bracelet. My AT is on rubber. Funny that I have been a bracelet guy all my life. But I do believe I've been converted.

A bracelet is the best for me followed by the rubber strap with deployment.

OEM rubber with deployant clasp.

I didn't find the bracelet as bad as people will say. But omega couldn't get the clasp centered on the under side of my wrist so I hate the way the bracelet fits on me.

I also have some OEM Omega NATOS I haven't tried on it yet, but I'm sure they would be better than the bracelet.

I went with the bracelet but added the rubber with the tang buckle and also 4 Omega natos.

OEM strap. I would love to have a bracelet that works for me on the SMP300, but the stock bracelet is just too much of everything...too heavy, too thick, too bulky, too ugly.

So, Almost 2 to 1 SMP300m owners prefer OEM rubber straps to Bracelets.

I must admit having recently acquired a 41 AT and a SMP both on a rubber strap, I find them very comfortable for all day wear. I do have some Omega's on bracelets and do wear them when I dress up a bit. But that's usually only for a short time.

I have the white dial SMP300 with two Omega straps and the deployment clasp. The first is the regular rubber strap, which I wear in the summer and around water.

The second, which I still am surprised my boutique did willingly, is the black speedy canvas strap. They had some left over and I actually wore it out with that strap. Pictured below, and probably my favorite combination. The white stitching matches the watch perfectly IMHO.

I wear my blue Seamaster 300M on the OEM blue rubber strap. I did purchase it on a bracelet, but like many others, the lack of a taper bothers me. I like the quality of the blue rubber strap, but moreso I like the contour and overall profile compared to the bracelet. Ideally, I'd put it on an OEM flat link bracelet that fit the watch perfectly. I have toyed with getting the stainless steel mesh bracelet, but I get very mixed reviews.

It is my favorite watch I own. Because I like it so much I only wear it in safer watch friendly settings. Tring to preserve it so to speak. I get a warm fuzzy feeling when wearing it. I can't stop looking at it, I find something intriguing about it each time I look at it. a lot of detail in this one. Then you turn it over and start again!

I wear it on the OEM rubber. The strap is very long and I’m typically on the 3rd to last hole or even 2nd to last hole despite being 190 pounds, and the holes are spaced about a full cm apart, but it works for me

Amazing! I think the blue rubber really goes will with the slate dial, and I like the texture of both together. I wish Omega would put the holes just slightly closer together on the rubber straps. Sometimes I have to loosen mine on really hot days fishing, but it's a big jump to the next one. I'm a big guy, and I think I wear mine in the middle hole.

Would take rubber or canvas over any bracelet with polished centre links. That's just me.

Same for me. 2nd or 3rd hole. I would like to see the holes a "little" closer together for a exact fit though. Most of the time it's not a problem. 6ft 190 here as well.
