Very nice. I was interested after seeing pics but it looks way better in person. Expressed interest in it a while back but no call!

Find one from a TS, it’s not a large premium at the moment and good value in my opinion. Great watch to not let these dealers play games with. It’s a Calatrava….. tides are turning!

Great decision to grab it if you really wanted it. As you mentioned, the price on the secondary is practically retail yet most ADs make it seem this reference is especially hard to get with sky-high demand (from what I’ve read on this forum). If you really want it, doesn’t make sense to wait for your AD. You did the right thing.

I initially favored the 5226 but once trying on the 5326 I opted for the 5326. As others have said, it really is a reference you need to experience irl.

Great choice and enjoy!

I really like this watch—looks like such a versatile piece. I’d love someday to see it on a refined strap or gator one to see how that looks too.

What made you change your mind from 5266G to 5326G if you don't mind sharing?

I was on the fence there as well. But I have a 5164a and do not need another travel time watch, I love my aquanaut for that purpose.

I travel a lot and frequently find myself reaching for my 5164r and gmt. I preferred the 5326 out of the gate but initially thought the case would be too large for me. I flipped after trying it on in Geneva last month.

Do you find it difficult to adjust the travel time? Do you have to take it off to do so? What I love about my 5164 is its so easy, 5326 seemed much more involved to accomplish the same task.

To be honest, I didn’t try. I doubt it would be as easy as the 5164.

This is such a cool watch. I do need to do the deployment, I keep worrying I’m going to drop it when I take it off. But this is such an awesome piece!

Looking good. Any idea how much is a WG deployant clasp?

Curiosity about this. You guys say we can get this from a TS for a good price? I see a large 10k+ premium however. What am I missing?

Interested in this 5226 ref and wonder which route to take to get my hands on one.

Where are you looking? 8-10K is about right but when you factor in the sales tax you would pay to an AD, you are almost there. MSRP is 40,220, plus 6% and you are at $42,633. Asking prices on C24 at quick glance are 48-50K on the low end and their prices are generally inflated there. This guy had one for sale here I almost went with but ended up getting it somewhere else. His says OHPF but may want to check in with him as that was back in March. He was down to $44,500.

Interesting. It’s 34k in Switzerland, hence my confusion.

The 5226g is a well sought-after reference since it came out. Wait list times are still long at ADs, and generally they sell for $8-10 k five retail with box/papers etc. It's wonderful in person, that dial and case are fantastic.

So I went and tried 5226 at the Salon.
I was on the fence between that and the 6119r. Somehow I like both, and both have advantages and downsides.

6119 has the definitive caliber, with twin barrels, high torque and modern tech.
5226 meanwhile, has the better lugs (though I wonder how dirty they might become) interesting build with clous de Paris flanks and despite everything, I still appreciate the reference to the night watchman.

I've asked for 5226 and will now forget about it and wait.

New 5226G

Only had the short strap in black, just came in with deployant. Now I’m thinking the standard strap would have worked as this is one hole from end and fits perfect. But it’s fine and love having the deployant now! Standard strap may have had too long of a tail in contrast, so not sure I would have been perfectly happy either way.

Congratulations, looks great ! Did you special order the deployant? They normally come with the pin buckle. I ordered the shorter straps (6.6 in wrist) and feels/looks great. Just curious
