My wishes are with you.

My family, hillbillies that they are, won't miss a wake, not even their own. Bring your family together, no shame in telling them you love them, each and everyone all. we are but the sum of our experience, we each have a string that is only so long. The Maker Himself set it up like this, His plan.

May the wake you leave behind remind those near and dear to you that you sailed these waters. God Bless.

Sorry man, prayers for you and your family. As you understand the end is a guarntee just make sure your last memories for both you and your loved ones are the ones you wished for. Don't let the cancer dictate those memories - keep your head high and may God Bless you and your family in these difficult times!

I like quotes so I will leave you with this one.

“Bad things happen. How I respond to them defines my character and the quality of my life. I can choose to sit in perpetual sadness, immobilized by the gravity of my loss, or I can choose to rise from the pain and treasure the most precious gift I have: life itself.”
– Walter Anderson

Dave, so very sorry to hear this, and I have to echo Paul's words : "I can’t think of any words Dave, except that I hope you find a pain free peace".

You are one of my favorites on TRF for your level-headed comments and views. The very best to you and your family during this ordeal. Strength and Peace, sir.

Thinking about you Dave. This could happen to anyone of us, but unfortunately it's chosen you. Here's wishing you the best of luck with this crap.

So sorry to hear about your diagnosis and prognosis Dave.

My family is currently going through a similar situation with my sister who is terminal at this point from aggressive breast cancer that has spread to multiple locations all while she battles MS as well.

May you and your family have comfort in knowing you have been blessed to create so many loving memories...

Thank you sir for sharing your story!!!

Dave I am so sorry I do not know what to write which would convey how deeply saddened I am, about the pain you find yourself in. I hope you have solace knowing you are in our thoughts and prayers, wishing you peace and strength to carry on each day…

Dave,
Thank you for sharing. So sorry to hear. I read through both threads. Your perspective and strength is inspirational. It will help me, when things come my way. They will return again during my journey.

I trust you will have as little pain as possible. I imagine you all have made lots of wonderful memories, for them to hold on to.

I’ve usually been OK with the situations I’m in. But it is hard to see it impact our loved ones. Bless You and Yours.

Dave, (and Peter) so sorry to hear this news. My dad had prostate cancer and died last December (although it was something else that got him in the end!)

Thank you for the reminder to be tested regularly - I will get another test as it has been a while. Sending love and prayer to you and your family.
