Calling All 5500 Explorers!

After seeking much advice on this forum and another, I finally sourced a correct 5500 Explorer. Well, at least the dial has been verified by those I consider experts, the hands are SL.

I think it would be a good learning experience if others could post their 5500 Explorers as well since, from what I've learned, 99% of the dials out there are redone Airkings.

I have to say that I really love this little gem! Here's mine:

Good score, looks superb! Care to share any tips on how to identify a correct dial?

I am no expert so I posted on this forum for help. I would have unknowingly purchased redialed examples had it not been for this.

I have three of these and will happily post some detailed pics after Christmas, but am in the middle of retail madness until then.

Please feel free to revive the thread later and it will remind me!
