Royal Rolexes

While we don’t have Royals here in the US, and this being a global forum, I thought we might keep up with Rolex on the wrists of Royal families across the globe. And yes a rainy weekend lends itself to such a thread

A couple of blogs have been updated focusing on the UK’s Royal Family. So feel free to add anything new you see - or correct any of the bloggers cited.

Let’s start with Crown & Caliber’s updated blog...

It seems only two UK Royals are noted Rolex owners. In chronological order, Prince Andrew wears Rolex, and only Rolex. A platinum Rolex Day-Date has been his preferred watch for around 25 years, making him a one-watch kind of guy. The other is Prince Harry, during his time in the military, he wore a Rolex Explorer II ref. 216570 and wears it still.

The Queen and others noted in the blog wear many brands like JLC, AP, Cartier, PP, Omega among others...

Other Royal Rolexes are mentioned in other blogs - including some overlaps with the British crown...

https://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-bl...al-family.html

Finally, for now - Air-Kings appear sometimes. Princess Beatrice, daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah, Duchess of York is a Rolex Air-King owner.

So what do you see on other Royal wrists?

Prince William wears an Omega Seamaster 300.

Gifted to him by his mother Princess Diana for one of his land mark birthdays - 18th or 21st (I think)

Yes it’s a mid-sized quartz Seamaster.

William was only 15 when Diana died so was earlier than that - so may have been an earlier birthday?

Americans seem to love the UK royal family, we have Harry who's going spare, would you like him as your new king? I think he has the explorer as well as the explorer 2.

Now that’s a dirty bracelet.
I would even go as far as « that’s a dirty watch ». Geez.

Clearly he doesn't send his watch to rsc for service. That bezel would have been replaced long ago.

Sent from the most complicated pocket watch in history... a cell phone.

Great history but not for nothing, but has he also not showered or cleaned it in those 56 years. I honestly would not want to touch that watch. Looks gross.

It's Norway, very cold in there. He takes shower once a year. As for the watch, it's the most original watch in the world.
