I'm a big Milgauss fan, on my second one, a Zblue which is a keeper for me. To be fair l really like the OP and feel it would dress up better with its beautiful dial and bezel and would work in any collection. Looking at them one on one I'd rather have the Milgauss.

Milgauss. PCLs, polished lugs, stunning classic dial. 😆

Jorge, out of the two I would choose the OP.
However, when I was looking for a white dial reference I opted for the Explorer II polar. 42mm. Could that be an option for you? |

The Milgauss has more character and the OP is more versatile. Your collection has a lot of personality so for you I think the Milgauss is best.

I just read the new replies , and I can easily see why I am so confused Both pieces have good things going for it. To name a few, here are the things that I see going for the Milgauss : I think Price retention in medium to long term Milgauss will do better , character/personality Milgauss wins , easy link and presence. For the OP 39 : versatility, dressier with no PCL’s , less expensive, brings the element of simplicity to the collection , my fiancé has the 36mm OP matching sibling.
Another factor that unfortunately takes place is availability, specially when you like both, then availability can be the tiebreaker People also mention , what about Polar or DJ . One of the things I want is no date, this watch has to be dateless. I need that simplicity for this watch , my other watches have all these extra quirks. I had a polar before and a 2-3 DJs , nothing wrong with them I just feel that I am not there anymore.

Great pic... and I agree. Can't beat the understated elegance of the white dial OP. Pure definition of Classic.

Love your DJ, but they are 2 different animals imo. DJs are more noticeable, especially to the general public. But OPs are the ones that go unnoticed until you really take a hard look at them. It's like sushi and sashimi. Everyone prefers sushi until they try the truest form of fresh fish in sashimi.

Excellent choice. The fluted bezel, jubilee and date bouble I makes it one of the most iconic Rolex models.

White OP 39 vs White Milgauss

I think that’s the reason I finally went for it. I needed something like that in my collection, dressy and iconic. I still like the OP, but not sure if would of lasted too long. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'd say Milgauss white if it didn't have the lightning bolt hand. I know why it is there. Just don't like it.
My next purchase is a white face OP 39 or a bluesy. |

Great choice! I myself am trying to decide between OP and milgauss both in white. That Datejust is beautifulllll but is a little too flashy for my style. I’ll probably end up with the milgauss Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
