Sky Dweller or daytona
Hi all, I am thinking of trading in my everose gold skydweller 326135 for the white gold Daytona with the blue face 116509. I currently only wear the sky dweller when I am wearing a suit or out for dinner etc. What would you do and why?

That is a tough one. I like the Skydweller and you probably see fewer of them , but the Daytona is classic. Do you prefer white or rose?

Again it’s a tough call, I like the fact the Sky dweller is on a leather strap and at the same time the white gold is under the radar

I have owned several of each over the years and have been satisfied with both. If the Sky Dweller was on a metal bracelet it would make the decision slightly more difficult but the WG Daytona with the blue dial is stunning to me. I would get the Daytona and never look back.

Do it. The Sky-Dweller is meant to be worn everywhere, all of the time; the Daytona makes a much more suitable watch for occasional use, and the 116509 in blue is freakin' perfect.

I would NOT do that trade. The SkyD in my eyes is a superior watch and your one is on leather strap so its not going to be that heavy.
Price wise its probably a fair trade if there is no money exchange involved. |

I'd go Daytona and wear it more than just with a suit.

Rolex Blue dials are magical for some reason. Even though it’s a tough choice but I would choose the Daytona!

Tough call. For me the Skydweller complication is more interesting and useful but I prefer the look of the Daytona. Sorry can’t help

Daytona all day long. Goes with everything. And if you decide it's not for you, it's an easy resale. However as a collector, I personally would hunt for an 116520 or 116500.

Daytona. The everrose is nice but not as versatile

I would have a hard time letting your Sky-d go, since I prefer the dial so much more than the current dial. However, I prefer WG and would flip for the same model of sky-d but in WG with black dial and leather strap. Sorry for not being helpful.

Sky Dweller or daytona
Keep the skyD and wear the hell out of it!
You’ll probably feel the same way after you flip for the Daytona. Everyone has a Daytona these days..skydweller stands out to me much more. And in RG...good to go. Be different lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It means you occasionally wear the Skydweller, if you feel the Daytona would better suit your everyday life, then I would say go with the Daytona, it’s a though one but I guess you know which would work better for you

I love the Daytona, but your Everose Sky Dweller is pretty stunning, and a favorite of mine. Especially if it has the chocolate dial with the Arabic numerals......No way would I do that trade.
I would keep and wear the heck out of the Sky D. Or, if you're looking for a more subtle daily, maybe consider a preowned SS or 5 digit Daytona and add it to your collection? Or, if you really don't care for the Sky D, then I guess trading it in does make sense? |

I would keep the SkyD, add another for daily (perhaps a DJ41).

Sky D, by a country mile. It's a beautiful watch that is actually useful with the date, month, and second time zone. I've never seen the appeal of the Daytona. Does anyone actually use the chronograph?

If you’ll get more use out of the Daytona (personally think it’s more versatile) I’d do it! If ONLY for the occasions you’re currently wear the SKD..might as well keep it. JMO

I love my Sky-Dweller, but must admit it works better for me in stainless steel. I personally think the white gold Daytona with the blue dial is absolutely beautiful. That would have to be my pick between the two you're deciding between.

I'm more of a SkyD fan but that particular Daytona your thinking of is a real game changer and since your not giving yours much wrist time I'd say that's a smart move.

Daytona Blue dials for me. I don't like fluted bezels.

I've never liked the look of fluted bezels, looks a bit like a datejust, I'd prefer the Daytona without a doubt.

Hmm...tough one. I think the Daytona is a more versatile piece, so that would get the nod from me.

I don’t change my SkyD for any Daytona! I know Daytona it’s iconic but you need to see what history have Daytona and what history have SkyD who are launch in 2014! |

WG Daytona would be my choice, if you will wear it more. Almost pulled the trigger on that one last month. I like the having an under the radar PM and the blue dial is a bonus. It would pair nicely with blue dress shirts. Like another said, if you are not going to wear it more than you wear the Sky Dweller, I would not trade. I can wear PM daily because I have WG - it fits into my environment.

My favorite watch of all time is the white gold/ white or cream dial SkyD with Romans that was retired I believe this year. I have a large wrist and have found that the Daytona looks great in the case and in the box but way small on my wrist. I wear a TT white dial Sky D for dress and the size looks just right on me.The Daytona wears even smaller than my blue dial YM. If they ever increase the size of the Daytona (Basel 2019?) I'm in! Me and everyone else!!!
