Rolex Watch at upcoming charity auction

I am a benefit auctioneer. We do fundraising events across the country.

I’ve been excited for weeks to see what a local AD is going to donate to a local school fundraiser. (AD/Owners child goes to school)

They have promised a Mens Rolex,

Today I find out it’s a Oyster Bracelet, Smooth Bezel, Black dial, 34 mm DATE!

To me- this should not be advertised as a men’s watch, what say you?

This was probably a tough seller, any idea what a realistic price would be?

You’re complaining about a watch that an AD gave you for free for a charity auction?

Not at all- just looking for an idea for what this price might actually bring. I’m really excited just wanting to confirm my thoughts that it shouldn’t be advertised as a men’s Rolex. More of a woman’s size. (My wife wears at 34mm.)

I’ve never sold one at an event, I know retail is $6k.

I don’t see many for sale online- that are new. This model is not as popular as others.

Say we had a DJ41 or or another watch in higher demand- it could possibly bring over retail. I don’t expect this to do that.

Some of you on TRF desperately want to harp on and be negative at anything posted. Thank you for not answering, and just assuming I’m being negative.

I don’t see any complaining, it looks like genuine interest in price

Seems like AD unloaded a hard sell, but that was expected and still pretty generous!

I don't see any complaining either. Just an honest question.

But calling it unisex could double the interest in bidders. Where a 40ish mm Rolex probably wouldn't interest women.

What is it a 115200? It’s still a 6k watch

Not to be rude to the guys who like this size of watch, but I think it would be a great woman's watch. And I'd definitely promote it as such, or at least unisex.

I would also advertise it as "unisex".
