Acceptable leather strap for Daytona

Is there a leather strap that is offered by Rolex as a replacement? If not, can anyone recommend a high quality alternative?

Acceptable leather strap for Daytona

Need a bit more context to your question before any recommendation can be offered.

First off, my answer is based on modern 6-digit Daytona - not the the vintage models.

If your Daytona was made with a bracelet, then Rolex doesn’t make any strap replacement for that model.

If your Daytona was made with a strap then they do make different styles and colors but limit the sale to ones that were originally delivered on the model you have.

The watch case is actually milled with a different profile for the endlinks on original bracelet vs. strap versions.

If you take the bracelet off of a Daytona, then any strap will fit the same way that it would fit on any other watch and you can spend whatever you want on the material.

Rolex straps are available in the correct sizes that they use on their Cellini watches, but they do not come with a clasp. Older tang straps can also be found, but you need to also find the tang buckle.

The usual complaint with a strap is the gap between the case and end of the strap. Original Daytona strap models have a modified case that includes this gap-cover built in. You can find aftermarket gap fillers and we discuss one of those vendors here.
