5711 + 5980

Popped into my AD today and tried these bad boys on. Beauties.

Tell me about it! It's a magnificent piece that I hope to own one day.

Cheers!

Both are great pieces.

Yup they are both stunning watches! I still can't decided if I prefer 5980 in black/ grey dial or blue! But they all look awesome.

Cheers!

Both great watches in their own right.

So which one did you bring home?

Tough question. They're both quite different watches - the 5711 is thin, time and date only, and has great lines. The 5980 is a thicker watch with amazing wrist presence and has a chrono function.

I would own both if I could. I'd probably start with the 5711 though.

Cheers!

Sounds good to me! The simplicity of the 5711 is indeed stunning! It makes a great casual watch but when you know what's inside you know you actually wear a masterpiece!

Absolutely. Plus, it fits me perfectly - unlike many other watches I admire.
