New addition. My first Marlen - Aureus

I have been trading pens of late and this is my first new pen in a while.

I have been moving out and bringing in. This is my first Marlen and it is impressive. Celluloid and perfectly balanced. Writing sample to come later.

Very nice Richard. Never seen one like this before. I kinda like it!

To know the future is to be trapped by it

I think on a whole, you have the craziest pens I've seen! Anything can happen in your collection! Does your pen have some blue in the celluloid? I found this pic and it looks like yours might have close to the same colors. That's a fantastic material!

Yes. The blue in the celluloid is one of the best features. Marlen Aureus is one of the most gorgeous pens I have ever seen in person. I think it is second to the Omas Arco Brown or Green. Literally!

Having an open collection where anything can happen is the fun part of collecting. I really like the coin operated filling system. Of course a dime will work as well.

Thanks! You really should give fine writing instruments a try! I think you would be surprised at the satisfaction that comes with using them. Not to mention that a fine writing instrument in the hand of a gentleman that has a fine timepiece on his wrist says volumes about that man.

My understanding is that is was the Euro of the Roman Empire.

A common currency that was universally recognized. Commonly called the Danarius.
