Icon5 Vintage Breitling Daytona

I saw here on this forum that several people own 1940's Breitling Daytona watches. I was wondering where to get one. I looked on Ebay and found a few of them. However, I do not know enough about them to judge their quality and genuity. Does anybody have recommendations for trustworthy sellers?

Thanks,

Boris

Do you mean Datora? Daytonas are from Rolex. Something like this?

Sorry...I meant Datora

You are right. My mistake. I meant the Breitling Datora.

These Breitling Datora 785 pop up very rarely and there are too many faked or frankenstein ones around trying to mimic these 70 year olds so need to tread with caution. For example if you check chrono24.com you will see quite a few listed at sky high prices but unfortunately most are fake or franken, same with eBay. The best place to verify authenticity is the vintage section of breitlingsource.com where I did before I bought mine. Maybe you could ask this same question there too.
These are surely a very beautiful watch though and worth waiting for the right one to pop up!
