Nautilus with diamond and ruby bezel

I saw these 5711/1R with diamond and ruby baguettes on the bezel at the AD.

Are these collector's items for Nautilus lovers or are they just too much jewelry for mens watches? They are both available at over $100K USD each and produced in limited quantity.

A former member here bought the one on the left. He was banned though

I think they are a bit garish personally but the platinum with emeralds is kind of cool.

Liberace would wear them both at the same time, one on each wrist.

Dreadful and a sad indictment on PP to actually make something in such poor taste

Personally it wouldn't be for me.

I suspect that this type of design is aimed more towards the ladies.

I wouldn’t worry about being banned – the mods aren’t that vindictive, but you won’t get any replies to your posts, since everyone will have put you on their Ignore list!

You’re only realising now that you’ve bought the ladies one, or do you dress up as 'Doris' on the weekends?
Is there something you’d like to get off your cleavage, and tell us?

Elliot aka el1125 or something. He had a strong set of PP. Not sure what transpired though.

Also iirc Khalid has the one with rubies.

I personally like it. Not the ruby but diamond isn't bad. Just way to expensive for sure.

Think I seen emeralds, diamonds and rubies on white dial....the only relief is the fully encrusted diamond one is sold unsold at my local AD which tells me that there still may be hope for understated, classic elegance which is what I thought the PP DNA was all about ....or....accessories!!!!!

I bet they cringe a little inside Patek every time they make one of these horrors, but I also think it's easy money. If this helps subsidize the arguably underpriced (at wholesale) 5146s, 5227s, etc, I'm all for it.

There is a certain point at which a fine timepiece crosses a theshold, becomes jewelry, and loses credibility for the craftsmanship of its movement.

While bling may work for AP, I've never had a fondness for Patek bling.

From my understanding, more women are wearing the 5711 and I was wondering if the diamond and ruby on the bezel appeal to the ladies more than the men. I remember an AD telling me that the diamond and jewel encrusted Pateks are often popular with women from the Middle East.

I recently saw this 7018/1A at an AD, a ladies Nautilus with diamond bezel, for what seems like a more reasonable price of $35K USD. The following is a stock photo.

Think the 7018 is the ladies version of the 5711. 34 mm
