i would contact seiko and have them look at it, they always run fast. 50 seconds slow in 1 week is very unusual.

They do have a branch in SM Bicutan, now that would be easier to find. Got it for less than Php8,900! kuha na kababayan! so much watch for its price! |

That's not too bad. It's only about 7 seconds a day.

My wife got me a G-shock for 16k before we were married. Had I known about this, I would have definitely gotten a black monster instead! Oh well, 20-20 hindsight hurts so good.

you are right, it's not much per day but i have never seen a monster run slow. they are always fast, that's what concerned me.

I've noticed mine slow down one day and then speed up the next. In fact mine's running 25 seconds slow at the moment, but I've been wearing it for over a month. But you're right, when I first got mine it was always fast, hmmmm very strange

i have read several professional reviews on them. they all said it was typical for them to run 15-20 seconds fast in 24 hrs until they settled in which could take several months. both of mine still run that fast, i just figured when i sent them in for service they would be regulated.

I've had my Orange Monster for under a year. I found this thread about three weeks ago and decided to keep mine on a winder for a while when not wearing to get more of a long term time test. This morning marks 16 days and the watch has gained a total of 38 seconds (a little less than 2.4 s/day on average). I was never really that concerned with the accuracy of this watch, so it's a fun, pleasant surprise to see how well it is running.

I recently bought two Seiko Monster's, one on a rubber strap and one on the stainless bracelet. I ended up giving the one with the rubber strap to a friend of mine and kept the stainless bracelet one for myself. I took a trip to the Dominican Republic this last week and figured it would be a perfect opportunity to give the Monster some wrist time.
To my great surprise the watch wore very comfortably and performed incredibly. I set it to within a second Saturday morning 4/17 and wore it every day whether in the pool or ocean and only took it off at night while sleeping or when taking a shower. I returned home Friday evening 4/23 and checked it to my atomic clock which I had set it to when leaving and it was 7 seconds slow. So over 7 days it only lost a second a day. Amazing! |
