GMT Master II 16710 on Small Wrist?
Hi guys,
I've been searching for a 16710 since a month back. I have rather round and tiny wrists (about 6.1 inches in circumference). The current GMT models sits like a block on my wrist. I haven't been able to try on one yet, as they're rather hard to find. Does anyone here with smaller wrists close to my side happen to own a 16710? Could you please provide some wrist shots? Also, do you guys know the exact lug to lug width? I've tried googling, but seem to get different results. Thanks! |

The 16710 measures 47.2mm from case lug-to-lug and 50.7mm from SEL extremities.

My wife wears 41mm Tudors and a Submariner--her wrist is under 6". She is eyeing my BLNR. All look spectacular on her.

I can add that Daytona and YM40 fits me perfectly. I've also tried a GMT 16753 that also fits very well.

I think for a man, and especially a daily watch, you'd want it to fit correctly, not oversized. |

My 16710 was my first Rolex in 2002. My wrist is 6.5 inches if that helps.

I own 5 and 6 digit GMTs with a 6.2 inch wrist. The 16710 wears substantially smaller than the 6 digit, even though dimensions are roughly the same. Probably most likely due to the more pronounced "look at me" bezel. I enjoy both, but no question the 5 digit wears smaller.
It will wear bigger than the daytona - daytona is smaller and its case shape makes it appear more compact. If the newer ym40s wear well for you, you should have no problem with a 16710. |

I have a similar wrist size and the 16710 fits perfectly. It’s a very comfortable watch on oyster and even more on jubilee.

Absolutely! My wife wears a 16570 Exp 2 and it works like a charm.
I will have you know she gets a lot more comments on her watches than I ever have! Men love a nice watch on a lady I guess. |

I mean, it is not a small watch so only you can decide if you feel comfortable with it or not. 36mm Datejust or Explorer should be perfect though IMO.

i also have small wrists & recently purchased a 16700.. you’ll get used to the size once you wear it more regularly. for what it’s worth, i had the same concerns as you but decided to move forward with it anyway.. it’s the only size, if you want it, you want it!

My wrist is 6" (154mm) and I have the 16710 on a Super Jubilee. Unfortunately these photos were taken too close for you to tell, but the watch looks fine -- not too big.

Wears fine in smaller wrist. It has perfect dimensions. The only downside is the bracelet as you can’t go down to 4 links on the 6 o clock side without destroying a permanent link. Therefore it could tend to slide to the 12 o clock on a small wrist. There are options and it’s a minor gripe. Other than that it’s 10000% perfect

Looks amazing! This is my exact reason I’ll be buying a no holes case 16710 in the future. Is it difficult swapping the bezel/inserts?

Thanks man appreciate it. It’s not difficult once you did it a few times and you take precautions not to scratch (I always wrap the knife blade in a thin microfiber and it works well)

The fit is not only about wrist size, but also about the shape of your wrist. People with flat top wrists can rock bigger pieces even with smaller wrist circumference sizes than people with bigger wrists but rounded shape. Do you have pictures of your wrist wearing other watches ? A GMT 16710 is about 47 MM lug to lug but pretty flat on the lugs (The 16622 / 116622 / 126622 YM in comparison is about the same length as the GMT but has curved lugs and better contour for non flat wrists) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
