FS: 1968 Tudor Submariner 7016/0 - Rose Dial
For your consideration is this beautiful and rare 1968 Tudor Submariner 7016/0.
Dial: Original Rose Dial. Very rare with this case/movement combination immediately predates the shield logo. Lots of patina. Case: Very thick unpolished case. Fat lugs and original beveled edges are prominent and sharp. I believe this was the only year that Tudor made the 7016/0 with Semi-pointed crown guards. Serial number 623xxx and model reference numbers are crisp and legible. Hands: Original tritium hands with large “lollipop” second hand. Bezel / Insert: All original fat font insert has faded to a phenomenal gunmetal grey. This insert is interchangeable with 5513s and 5512s of the era. Movement: ETA 2483 runs well but could use a service. Service history unknown. Caseback: Original stamped 7528 from 1968. Shows minor signs of wear. Threads appear crisp. Crystal: Original Tropic 19 superdome in stunning shape. Note: Oyster bracelet for display purposes only. This is a very rare Tudor Submariner variant that was only produced for around 1 year ( See: http://tudorcollectorsite.blogspot.c...7016-7021.html) and would make a great addition for a Rolex/Tudor enthusiast collection. Asking $3450 USD Shipped CONUS. International buyers must pay shipping and duty fees. Wire transfer or Paypal plus 3% accepted. References available upon request.
