Street Photography: "Okay I Believe You, But My Tommy Gun Don't"
Well, I had only 30 minutes and took 45 to walk a little outside but only 30 minutes of shooting as I had a few too many things to do as usual... I had to make the shots count, 14 made the cut. Hope you like these - Too bad I am using such a great song for such a short post but if you can this one is worth a download, Okay I Believe You, But My Tommy Gun Don't by Brand New, check Apple iTune store. As usual here are the lyrics... Next post will have a poem, maybe - unless I change my mind... I hope you like this way of posting the pictures, small caption underneath with the lyrics and/or poem.
Ready Set GO! I am heaven sent Don't you dare forget I am all you've ever wanted What all the other boys all promised Sorry I told I just needed you to know The best way, the better way... This is how I get around the city, street car, Subways and walking, I do a lot of walking... I think in decimals and dollars I am the cause to all your problems Shelter from cold I really like the irony in this picture look at the year this building was erected, "the Great Depression may be said to have begun with a catastrophic collapse of stock-market prices on the New York Stock Exchange in October 1929.During the next three years stock prices in the United States continued to fall, until by late 1932 they had dropped to only about 20 percent of their value in 1929. Besides ruining many thousands of individual investors, this precipitous decline in the value of assets greatly strained banks and other financial institutions, particularly those holding stocks in their portfolios." We are never alone Coordinate brain and mouth Then ask me what it's like to have myself so figured out I wish I knew You are never alone just as long as you are with someone you love I hope this song starts a craze. The kind of song that ignites the airwaves The kind of song that makes people glad to be where they are with whoever they're there with This is war Every line is about who I don't wanna write about anymore. I hope you come down with something they can't diagnose, don't have the cure for Holding on to your grudge Oh it's so hard to have someone to love And keeping quiet is hard Cause you can't keep a secret if it never was a secret to start Tomorrow I will be old, in the blink of an eye my life will pass me by unless I get productive now (at least pretend you didn't want to get caught) We're concentrated on falling apart We were contenders, now throwing the fights I just want to believe...I just want to believe..I just want to believe.. in us Oh, we're so controversial I don't want a job where I have to wear a suit and have to carry a suitcase on rollers, one or the other not both! We are entirely smooth We admit to the truth We are the best at what we do And these are the words you wish you wrote down This is the way you wish your voice sounds Handsome and smart Ooh, my tongue's the only muscle on my body that works harder than my heart I always loved a woman in tight jeans... And it's all from watching t.v. And from speeding up my breathing Wouldn't stop if I could Summer time, when it gets warm outside, the good, the bad and the ugly come out in force Oh, it hurts to be this good You're holding on to your grudge Oh, it hurts to always have to be honest with the one that you love I was in a rush but had to make a detour for the fountain shot, glad I did Oh, so let it go This is the grace only we can bestow Friends This is the price you pay for loss of control This is the break in the bend This is the closest of calls This is the reason you're alone This is the rise and fall I'd rather be alone than unhappy, but that's just me plus on a street shooting expedition most times I just like being alone That's it folks! |

I love this street photography and the captions. Wish I had the time to do some myself.
