if I used this dial to replace a service dial on a 1016 with full B&P what would that result in in terms of value / authenticity?

What year is ur watch? If its period correct it will definitely add value.

Thanks sam, what year / series 1016 is this dial from? I don't have one myself yet but knowing the details will help me in my hunt.

It also would depend on the patina on the hands. How closely would they match the "new" dial? A lot of collectors stay away from mismatched tritium patina.

I would say after 1966 when rolex stopped producing gilt dials. Others can correct me. The one u r referring is very nice but it could b expensive depending on the reserve price. Hope u get it.
