identifying pre-1969 Rolex

I have a Rolex that I just got from my mother that belonged to my stepfather who died in 1969. The watch appears to have a stainless steel case and the face is a golden color. The band is not the original one. The watch is scuffed. Below is a link to a picture of it. I wonder if anyone knows the answers to my questions?
- Can anyone tell me what model it is?
- This watch says "Quartz Movement". Does that mean that it needs a battery?
- Would it be a good investment to fix this watch?
- Does anyone know of a place near Seattle, WA that is reputable but not expensive for repairing Rolex watches? If not, an online source?

Sorry. Your watch is very suspicious. There is no Quartz day-date.

There is a Rolex quartz Day Date (Oysterquartz ref# 19018), but the one in the photo is certainly a fake, or some kind of franken at the very best.

Donq I think u meant Quartz movement. Actually there is in fact a rolex line call oyster Quartz and day date is one of them. Though it looks different from regular day date.

As to op. I can't see much from UR pic. If in fact Quartz movement is stamped any where on the watch then it's not a Rolex.
