This one for the last 20 years. Mostly worn the first 10 years every day, and then as my weekend warrior…

I hesitate to call this a beater, but this is a fantastic daily watch. If I’m out doing anything active- I don't worry about this on my wrist. I have watches that are much more expensive and get a lot of enjoyment out of this one.

You can see my watches in my signature. I view all of them as "high end" watches, and all of them I wear without any hesitation day to day. The 1675, being vintage, is the one I would hesitate to be very active with or take in water. The VC I might think twice about wearing for strenuous activity, because it supposedly has a delicate movement (so I've read, haven't experienced that).

Watches are meant to be worn, not babied... now if I ever get a dress and/or gold watch, my view probably changes.

For me -

Daily = My go to watch that I put on every AM and wear all day.

Beater = A Watch I may wear when performing a exceptionally messy/dirty activity. Ex working out = Apple Watch as I like to track my gym activity.

Often I prefer to wear no Watch when working on a car, cooking, or really dirty yard work. More of a preference as I don’t like anything on my wrist at that time.

For the time being, my TUdor GMT will be my go to for all daily and extreme sports (canyoneering etc).

My latest is a pro master. Although it’s so nice I can’t bring myself to call it a beater regardless of cost.

I kinda baby my watches regardless of price. I'd just not wear a watch if I'm doing anything that could potentially damage them. So it is very difficult for me to view any of them as a beater. But I do find myself always gravitating towards wearing my SKX's and G-Shocks on vacations more often than my Pam111, 116610LN or even my F-91W or Apple Watch. So I guess those two could be what I consider my beater watches.
