That is just showing off - and quite rightly so!

Pretty much every watch I would buy myself if I had the means. I just noticed you are missing the Platona - when does that one arrive?!

Congratulations.

Thanks very much! Platona has some glare to it in the R in first photo. It's a favorite! Once again thanks!

I have so many questions. Lol. So many.

What do you use for storage? Safe deposit vault? I have a few other questions but where I don't know you that well, I don't want you to think I'm prying. Lol.

Does your insurance company have a stipulation on how many watches you can have in your home/not in storage at a time?

I'm sure there are some that you keep accessible all the time. Do you have others on rotation?

What I'm really asking is... How do you possibly chose which 6 (or whatever number it is) you're going to keep out of storage?

If I had that collection, I'd spend hours a day in the vault just surrounded by those beauties.

and thanks. As you suggest you might do under the same circumstances, I have a weekly ritual of going to the bank to choose typically 4 watches for the upcoming week. For some that may seem tedious but I enjoy it. The background in the photos is a relatively soft bathmat that I bring to safely lay them out in the vault. I try to have a mix of formality, metals, etc... but enjoy the process.

I also benefit from an AD that stores some pieces in his safe so they are insured as "in his card for repair". Prefer to avoid further detail but Insurance company is fine given the totality of security and precautions. Lastly some things prohibited from discussion here that go boom in the night if called to action.

Oh yes how silly of me to quickly glance and assume that it was SS!

That deserves another wow.

I’ve got four Rolex now. Hopefully I can build up a collection like yours over the next few years.

I think if you can afford another Rolex things are going pretty well in life so it’s a good aspiration to own more watches.

The insurance costs do start to mount up though as the collection grows.

Glad you share the passion. A bit cliche but for me the process of saving, deciding, coveting, aspiring, hunting, etc is most of the fun in collecting. Today's market makes it daunting and PIA but still fun for me.

Ahhh - very nice set up and arrangement. I can't imagine there's any way you come out of a collection like that without a few solid relationships a with dealer or two. I appreciate you answering the questions you did.

They're merely trinkets I suppose. Now I'm starting to realize why my AD is loaded with models sporting Jubilee bracelets. You bought up everything else. Lol

Very impressive

I have a headache dealing with my 10 watches I can’t imagine your routine. Even though with 10 I still gravitate towards one go to watch 50-60% of the time

Envuks "Then you get offended about me telling you how to spend your money. It’s $30. Don’t be a cheap bast@rd"

Not offended at all its called sarcasm. Obviously subtlety, nuance, and class aren't your strong suits. Taking the high road and moving on, but thanks for the reminder as to why I post infrequently.

i haven’t supported TRF simply because i refuse to use paypal (the legacy of a long-past scam in the audio business).

calling someone cheap is fairly classless.

*shrug* somehow that’s probably none of our business anyhow.

also, BryantPark...

goodgodalmighty that’s just spectacular. i, like you, often visit my safe deposit box to the bemusement of the bank. but i think i would be paralyzed by indecision because i’d just keep telling myself “but...but....and also... but...”

thank you for sharing. incredible collection.
