I don’t really have a beater, just a rotation of watches.

If I’m doing something like wrenching on a car I just don’t wear a watch :)

Got this on today

Don’t really have any beater watches as such , but these are more than happy to step up to the task if asked .

Do anything beater: Omega 300M Ceramic on factory rubber
Nicer beater: Deepsea (had it on Everest rubber for more every day status which was great but swapped back to steel because, nothing like factory oyster bracelet)

I have a few automatic seikos as beaters. What I find odd about them is how quickly they start running after they’re picked up after extended periods of disuse. The ever so slightest movement and they running. Rolex aren’t like this….I wonder why?

A Swatch Irony Day-Date. Bought it for $50 used on ebay. It has been on many overseas trips with me. It keeps wonderful time and the battery lasts about two years. There have been many threads here about safety but my Rolex watches represent a huge investment and it's not worth the risk to lose them.

This watch is completely non-serviceable. The case back is solid. The movement is dropped in by the the front and the crystal is pressed in with huge pressure. The crown must be a one time push in with no means to remove it.
