Been offered but don’t love it

I turned down a watch once. It wasn’t the config I wanted. Then I did it again.

I got told that was silly by friends.

I got the one I wanted. Eventually.

With an AD, buy the watch you want. Nothing wrong with an “either / or” if you are not fussed about dial or bracelet choice. But a good rep knows someone else will commit for it if you say no but they had the courtesy to give you first dibs. And respect that you are consistent with what you want.

Some ADs will limit the number of allocated pieces per person. So if the config comes around, you’ll probably not hear of it if you took an earlier offer.

It is a little impolite to turn down the exact config / watch you had requested though. How much that matters is an unknown.
