John Mayer told the world that a 5164 means you're a sophisticated collector. If he's capable of making the YG Daytona worth 2x retail, this won't be any exception.

Initially I thought the same but here is the hilarious part. He said the 116508 was a good investment. He basically said the 5164 is a go to for him and many people who have one have a lot of great stuff.

The idiots who buy watches these days are looking for investments not great stuff

I’m still going to talk my own book and say that the 5164 will one day be worth more than the 5711. Wait until Patek discontinues it then butchers the redesign.

Its shocking that someone would believe what i believe. Yes someday somehow 5164 will worth more than 5711.

The opposing could be true if they make it better and actually make the bracelet even better. Having both a rubber and bracelet option would be cool.

I only like it in rubber,

Bracelet just doesn't look right IMO

That is fair but show me an example of patek making anything better in terms of aesthetics in the last 10 years!

They refuse to make new movements to fit the new cases. If FP Journe was CEO of patek it would all be tits and whisky.

That's you looking at the current bracelet. If they redesigned the case and strap and bracelet it can look good too :)

True my friend.

I personally would like to see the aquanaut with an adjustable deployant.

No doubt about it that would be a nice touch. I’d like to see some sort of proprietary adjustable butterfly clasp. Amongst many other thing but hey that’s Patek. You’ll take it and you’ll like it
