Vintage Pepsi has character now

This is one of the best eating experiences you can have in the world.

And the watch, its a 1675 Pepsi, made to last, you can't buy instant character with a new watch I'm afraid, it has to be earned through years and years of experiences.

So it doesn't have a parachrom hairspring, chromalight, solid end links or a high beat movement, but its rock solid and its what the current models are based upon. Rolex created perfection 50 years ago and have been trying to re-create it ever since.

If you buy a new Pepsi GMT now you'll only have to wait maybe 50 years....not long if you have that kind of patience.

Steve, have to agree with you, the 1675 is perfection despite the current model modern tech refinements.

I guess that's the significance of the durian then???

"Can't touch this King"??!!

Durian and Pepsi. Never have them together if you don’t want to be in trouble later. I’m glad you were wearing the Pepsi, not drinking the Pepsi..

Durian is very filling and it's hard to stop eating after starting.

Durian is one of the few foods I have actually never tried. I've heard of it's putrid rancid smell... I guess I have a quest to find and try one :)

The Pepsi on jubilee is of course beautiful and not putrid at all.

But I didn't think sheep's organs (your fruit of choice) matched Pepsi very well

I don't find Durian to have any unpleasant smell at all, its not like some cheeses, its just a fresh fruit that is creamy, custardy and delicious.
Apparently this year is a bumper crop and one could buy a whole one for between $2 and $20 depending upon size and variety.

One more delicious shot:

Durian-GMT2.jpg

Its the most weird experience when you buy this fruit from a fruit shop. You can't just take the fruit and break it open yourself.

The spikes are so sharp you need a special stab-proof glove to handle it. The fruit shop attendant puts the glove on and then uses a sharp solid blade knife to put star cuts into the end of the fruit and pries the segments open.

One then sits down to a table in the fruit shop to eat the sloppy slippery fruit segments with a disposable glove. Its weird but once that fruit hits your mouth its creamy rich dense flesh falls apart like a very creamy treat.

The darker green coloured skin as opposed to the bright green skin seems to have a sweeter flavour and creamier texture, which I prefer.

This is definitely a very addictive fruit, and its the only fruit that gives rise to fruit shops having tables and chairs so people can sit down and enjoy this fruit, because it can't really be eaten any other way.
