Its actually big on your wrist. Watches were 30mm for 40 years.

For guys with smaller wrists like us (mine is 6.25"), there's nothing wrong with a 36mm DJ. Looks great on you.

And I'm not the kind of guy that shies away from saying a watch doesn't look right on someone hah.

I am getting my jubilee bracelet resized and I cannot wait to rock my DJ 36 daily. My bracelet is a folded link bracelet so i had to find a specialized jeweler to do the work. Lux Bond and Green did not have the right tools to do the adjustments.

You definitely made the right choice with your DJ, it looks perfect on your wrist.

No. 36mm used to be the right size. But times have changed. 40mm is the new minimum, 39mm if you really have no choice. But 36? It's even small for women now.

I feel bad about this too because I have a DJ 36 and a DD 36 that I haven't worn in years.

Before any of you guys jump me, the OP asked for opinions and I gave my honest one.

Anytime you are wearing your 36mm DJ and you suddenly get size worries, just stuff a couple of sweat sox in your shorts. That's what most big watches are. Form over function.

I think it looks in proportion to your wrist size i have a smaller wrist and 36mm fits well, but i then try my 41mm DW and i prefer the slightly bigger face so its just getting used to the size.

Now, this thread wouldn't be complete without some enabling...

I have found that if a 36mm looks good for my wrist size, the 39mm offerings also look great on my wrist:) I recommend you go check out the new OP and Explorer 1.

Looks fine, just give yourself a little time to get used to it. I was the same when I first got my op36 but I find it just so now

Is that a roulette on a black dial? Keep it.

Unless you are 6’10”, 340lbs, or bigger, the 36mm Rolex is perfect. And even then, I’d wear it.

Looks great, I have almost the exact same combination but with a fluted bezel. It fits you perfectly I would said the 41 was too large for your wrist.

It looks very good! Don’t let the fashion brigade tell you to go and buy 55 mm watches because they are more “masculine”, who cares

I have a 6.5" wrist and started with an oysterdate, moved on to a classic datejust, the back to a date model. I like how a 34mm case fits me. Never got into the big watch fad.

The 36 DJ looks good on you. I see guys here with small wrists and huge watches and I just have to bite my tongue.

Remember the black face makes it look smaller.

It’s a small watch by today’s standards, but actually looks great on your wrist. Unfortunately too small on mine - my wife lets me hear it every time I try one on.

Fits perfectly on my 6 inch wrist, not too large that it attracts attention and not too small to be a woman's watch

I have a 6,8 wrist and i wear the 36mm Datejust very often for work.
It fits perfectly under the sleeves and i keep the 40mm Rolexes for the end of the week or the holidays.
Looks great on your wrist, i do have the same with the blue sundust dial.
