Was not very used. Original owner had other 4 Nautili in his collection. I’m really surprised by the condition of the watch, considering it’s from May 2016 too.

So happy and really enjoying the honey moon lol

Thanks SO much Pete. Yeah… I’ll insure it, but for that i’ll need to get a safe at home, but will do it… much better than a bank safe. Just saw your insta. Great collection you got!

Yes! Enjoyed it yesterday a few hours. But this weekend I’m traveling. So I decided to bring the 15300 for the trip. It’s a big city so I’ll be careful too. Have a good weekend!

Congrats! You might be biting the bullet now, but I bet you'll feel better in 6 months when 5711 goes up another 50k!

Congratulations. What watches did you give up to the 5711?

Hi Michelle! I just said it on the other thread, but I LOVE your collection. It's really one of the best modern ones I've ever seen. :thumbs-up:

I gave away a July 2020 new card Hulk (this one with a LOT of pain, it was my dream watch back in 2012 -- back then I could only get the LN version), a brand new GMT Pepsi with Oyster bracelet, and put over 110k on top of that. I miss the Hulk a bit, but I realized I can't yet handle having so many watches. I got rid of a few others in the last weeks too that in the end went to the 5711 too and also to the 15300ST.

No hard feelings as I have now just 3 watches, but really am enjoying them and it's a wide range of things... bracelets, dials, cases, finishing, open case backs, reliability, etc. :thumbs-up: Next addition will be hard though. I'm on the list for several nice things, and it will be hard to keep a 3-watch collection. But who knows. Now it's time for me to enjoy my tiny collection... which I am VERY happy about now :-)

Exactly. I am way too late. Missed the train and had to pay a lot more than I ever wanted to but will try to keep it for life.

Congrats! I would never do it that's for sure, too much money above retail for something not that special IMO but value is in the eye of the beholder!

Thread reminds me of the old paradox. I'd never buy a 5711 for 150k. But I am not selling either. So what is it? Is 150k worth more or the 5711?

And it’s only gonna go higher — and it’s for me more about the watch than the money it costs.

A few months ago I thought the same way. But then I realized that if I don’t get it now, I probably won’t get it when it gets to 200k.

I just LOVE the watch.

For me it’s more about enjoying it. I’d rather enjoy the money on my wrist. It’s not really an investment for me more than just being able to enjoy something and appreciate it, and that will clearly not lose value anytime soon.

Wether it’s worth 150k+ or not, that’s another question (I actually paid ~170k). I clearly remember when this was on window shops (also AP ROs) for ~30k, but I could not afford them back then.

Obviously you "valued" the watch more than the money at this time. Time will tell if it will only be going higher or if it'll go out of fashion and come down again, all which is totally unrelated to the paradox I was referring to. Never mind...

I get the paradox, just don't understand what is really your opinion here? Do you own a 5711 and then, that means what to you money-wise?

I have no opinion here other than being amused about being in the camp that would not have taken your jump but at the same time I am not selling my 5711 blue as I keep enjoying it.

Congrats again on a great watch!

Congrats again to a great watch!

Hope you keep enjoying it! That’s what it’s really about in the end, although technically at the price I paid it’s part of an asset allocation too for me. But what a beautiful and enjoyable one.
